I recently repurchased “The Lion King” dvd for my niece and it brought back my days about 10 years ago when Disney was interested in recruiting me . . . this was my way of seeing if I still had it. Here’s my watercolor painting of Mufasa.

Here is some of my newest art created specifically for licensing and merchandising for the Nashville tourism market. In case you haven’t noticed by some of my previous work I like painting skylines.

Ever had the urge to see what you’d look like if you were in Street Fighter? Well that the nice thing about being an artist. When you imagine stuff like this you can put it on paper. I did this in watercolor with a new heavy watercolor set and new brush set I just bought that I’ve been wanting to try out. I think the artists that did the character renderings in Street Fighter 4 did an amazing job so I’m kind of paying homage by doing their style here. How’s it lookin’ . . .

This piece is the upcoming mixtape cover for band quickly gaining notoriety in NYC titled “The Freight Train Hobos”. I used a mix of watercolor, colored pencil, and traditional ink in this piece. It was a fusion of my own style with the head band members ideas and it turned out excellent. Check out the band by clicking here ——> The Freight Train Hobos

Simply put . . . everything. What I’m about to tell you is something the powers that be don’t want you to know. I’m not new to this subject as I’ve been studying the mind and everything having to do with the subject for years. Even experimenting with this in my own life has enabled me to realize that what I’m saying is true. Matter of fact it’s true regardless of your belief in it. By now we’ve all heard of the “Law Of Attraction” and all the self-help shit that’s out there but what I’m talking about goes beyond that. A lot of what’s being sold to help the common person feel empowered again is only partially the deal. This is exact science (more…)

This is my newest piece I titled “Return To Innocence” . . . I’ve had this piece in my head for about 2 years but haven’t painted it until now and as I’ve realized there was a reason for the timing. I can’t tell you how many rough sketches I have of this concept in those two years. I guess I was saving it for when I felt compelled to paint it. First let me tell you what this piece stands for, the themes involved, how it relates to me and my life, and why I decided to go with a Mayan warrior. This piece represents a man’s struggle to find himself, his spirituality, his innocence even after he’s been through the jungle of life with his hands still soaked in blood. A man . . . a real man goes through a lot of changes in journey to find his higher self. Beyond the ego, beyond the warrior spirit (more…)

Here’s the second installment in the series where we’re going to be dealing in details and stuff you’re going to need to get set up and start looking for prospects and hitting them hard. First thing you’re going to need is a book keeping system. You can do this with physical files or on your laptop or pda if you have one. Get a physical green folder and mark it “Income” and a red folder marking it “Expenses”. Also you’ll want to keep a log of your creating and marketing time slots because you’ll need to keep track of your time. If you want you can keep track of all this electronically using your laptop or pda. I integrate all three methods in synchronization but I can tell you sometimes technology will let you down . . . so don’t be lazy, keep physical records for backup. Plus we still live in a society where we get paper receipts and invoices for transactions. You don’t want to blow up and have the I.R.S. (sick face) at your door while all you have is your hands full of crashed equipment and no records. Next thing you’re going to want to do is get some EXTREMELY CRUCIAL BOOKS which I’m going to tell you which ones to buy. You may find other books outside of the list I give you here but these are the absolute MUST BUYS here. Since a lot of you may not get to sit down and have a cup of coffee with established artists in our industry you can do the next best thing and read what they have to say and how they got there. Here is the list you need to get asap.
